OUR FIRST ENCOUNTER
A random night out in Washington, DC for Shari and her friends coupled with a birthday celebration for Channing with his friends is where it all began.
FIRST DATE
Our first date was a late lunch on Christmas Eve and a little last-minute holiday shopping. Little did we know, this would be a tradition that we look forward to every year!
US, AS A COUPLE
We made it officially official and began to navigate life as a couple. Since then, a considerable amount of adventure, travel, beaches, time spent with family, museums, restaurants, career moves, and most importantly, lessons learned have ensued.
THE PROPOSAL
We had been talking about getting engaged by the end of the year and of course, Channing waited until the last day of the year to pop the question! We had a quick weekend getaway of wine tasting, a spa day, and good eating planned, and before we headed out of the door, Channing popped the question, and Shari said YES! We have been celebrating our engagement and planning for the wedding with our friends and family ever since.
